Kathy Haynes

Kathy Oglesby (Haynes), a long-time resident of Lodi, California, died on January 4, 2010, at the age of 54. She was born on December 12, 1955, in Stockton and family moved to Lodi in 1963.
Kathy was a member of the Lodi High School Class of 1974.
She attended California Statue University, Stanislaus, and was an elementary school teacher in the Manteca Unified School District for 15 years.
Among Kathy’s many loves was spending time with her family and friends, and teaching her students. She designed and made afghans for all her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed vacationing with her grandchildren at Disney World, as well as scuba diving and fishing. She enjoyed being a “Soccer Mom,” and was active in the youth soccer organization in Manteca when her sons played.
Kathy is survived by two sons, Christopher Oglesby (Nancy) of Crossville, Alabama, and Jason Oglesby (Ayumi) of Japan; her parents, Darrell and Patty Haynes of Lodi; three grandchildren, Abigail and Tyler Oglesby of Alabama, and Haluhie Oglesby of Japan; her brothers, Jeff Haynes (Jill) of Elk Grove, and Don Haynes (Debbie) of Lodi; her sister, Cheryl Brakel (Kelly) of Acampo; and seven nieces and nephews.
